Email Mar­ket­ing & Automa­tion Director

Full-Time

As Director, Email Marketing & Automation, you will sit on the Digital Strategy team and be responsible for planning, orchestrating, executing, and overseeing email marketing and automation strategies for various LDWW clients.

Overview

In this role, you will be a key member of the team working to drive growth, improve database health, optimize client email and automation programs, and lead the charge around nurturing and segmentation strategy. You will work closely with our Account Planning and Creative teams within the agency and report to our Managing Director, Digital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Formulate email marketing strategies across clients to support overall business and marketing objectives.
  • Formulate automation and chatbot strategies across clients to support overall business and marketing objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for email campaigns and A/B testing.
  • Create, configure, and launch email campaigns using marketing automation tools.
  • Document plan, campaign performances, and test results.
  • Drive email marketing operation improvements with automation, standardization, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage segmentation strategy, use data and creativity to explore and test new segments, and identify opportunities for A/B testing in segmentation and messaging to optimize and drive improvements to KPIs.
  • Create and monitor complex personalized journeys, triggers, and automations with static and dynamic content.
  • Analyze the performance of email marketing and automation channels and journeys, seeking ways to improve performance by delivering insights to key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance to account teams for new business.
  • Work closely with Account Planning and Creative teams to prepare marketing plans that are consistent in campaigns; ensure email and automation tactics are sufficiently planned to achieve campaign objectives, provide program and industry trends to inform the creative approach, and close the loop with campaign insights to inform future executions.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with key internal business partners.

Skills and Expertise

  • 5+ years digital marketing experience with an emphasis in email marketing and chatbot strategy
  • Experience leveraging a marketing automation/CRM system like HubSpot, TalkDesk, Salesforce/Pardot, etc.
  • Deep knowledge in customer segmentation, list management, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM laws.
  • Ability to translate data and client objectives into strategic ideas.
  • Strong fluency in G-Suite and HubSpot preferred
  • Critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Self-starter, who excels in a fast-paced environment, with a growth mindset.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or a related field, plus 5-7 years of professional experience in digital marketing or marketing automation is preferred.
  • UX experience is a plus.
